Down by the river...but not in a van.

If you aren't an SNL fan, that title made no sense. I needed the word "river" in the post due to it being the largest body of water here, and where I love to take pictures. They weren't all taken at the river, but all involve water or wildlife. How's that for being specific in a category of pictures? I tend to shoot geese a lot (not for dinner, for pictures) due to the fact that we have no bears or moose in this area. And even if we did have those larger species of wildlife, geese would be easier to outrun. I tend to choose safety.

 I was hoping to spot pelicans at the park we went to, had heard they might still be in the area. I thought all we saw were geese, ducks, and seagulls. When I got home and uploaded I realized I had several pictures of pelicans! I will say my excuse for not knowing is that I was shooting into the sun and couldn't see very well. Does that work? 

 This picture is begging for a funny caption, but I never came up with one.

It makes sense to me to have my first blog entry be a collection of pictures from the best vacation spot on Earth. Hawaii! Yeah, I know, there are other awesome vacation spots out there, many tropical paradises, but Hawaii has some of my awesome grandkids! Enough said!

The Beach Kids...

 Luke is evidently searching for something interesting or gross. Probably gross.

 Even running on the sand must be done with dramatic production! What a star!

 I think Mike would love to have become a beach bum, right then, right there.

Everywhere you look in Hawaii, you see beauty!
